why abdevilliers couldn't get the same success he got in franchise t20 in t20is?

watch this once you complete reading for better understanding

1.position he bats
• if you see in franchise cricket his number is fixed and in case of any change he was trained before the start of season and his role remains the same till end. But when it comes to south africa he didn't have a fixed number he was constantly pushed up and down according to team need while others remained unchanged

2. Change in responsibilities
▪︎his responsibility kept on changing for example when keeper is injured he was made a keeper and when keeper was fit he was made to field this made him unsettled with roles he had back issues so he stopped keeping  at one point as he was playing all three formats he was under huge workload and once he retired the workload is off that is the reason why he is keeping now and not for money like some fools claim

3.roles as a batsman
• he was primarily a top order batsman but in t20s he was made to bat as opener and very next  match he was made to bat as no5 and again he was promoted as opener but just to give quick fire start In powerplay itself and eventually gave in some and failed in many as he could not strike from very first ball due to confusion of change in numbers and when he was good going he was given a role as wicket keeper
you can clearly see he got more success as no4 but was never encouraged to continue consistently if you take for rcb he was given a role and it remains same till end of season

4.the period he belonged to
• the time when he debuted or trained there was no t20s the major formats are odi and tests so it took large time for players from those period to adjust to t20 format

5. Added responsibility but no respect

•whenever there is no captain he was made captain which added another weight on his shoulders along with keeping, fielding and different roles of batting and sometimes even a bowler but after all of this he was never given the respect he deserves and was called unlucky by fans and blamed as reason for wc losses so it made him retire while he was in his peak

mayank agarwal batting then vs now

Notice the width between then and now he has increased the width between the legs as a result the press on front foot has become much as a result he is struggling to go back to Backfoot when needed and it is the reason for failure in Australia
note his bat face it is pointing towards gully as a result there is high chance of nicking the edge then the bat face is towards cover so it gave him a better stability in drives
note how high he is holding the bat as a result when he tries to defend there was a huge gap between the bat and pad and sometimes he is very late to ball and failing to defend it. And Note his front foot it was still in air ie., unsettled even after ball going to keeper. Literally now he is holding bat similar to a baseball player
This is increasing his bat speed and power to hit ball long but in tests defense is the key so that is why despite performing in t20s he couldn't repeat the same in tests

the difference between Indian domestic and English domestic

1. AVAILABILITY OF EXPERIENCED AWAY PLAYERS
due to availability of experienced  overseas players the young players in England are getting better ideas about international cricket
•In India away players are not allowed so our players ideas about international cricket is getting limited. That they need to personally meet someone to improve their skills

2. CONTRACT SYSTEM IN DOMESTIC LEVEL
•contract system in England create a pressure less situation for young players as even if they don't have great season he will be retained because of  contract and also get additional pay by name of retention pay
•in Indian domestic there is no contracts like that for young players so there is no surety that you will be there for next season also

3. AVAILABILITY OF BIG NAMES

• In England the big names are always available in free times so it attracts lot of viewership and also it helps young players to get great ideas about national team selection like that
• In India big names are prevented from playing by name of workload to prevent them from injuries so there is not great attention on the events and players lacking clarity as well

4.TELECASTING AND SPONSORS
In England the matches are telecasting in TV channels as well in YouTube so people are loving  the game England people love test cricket because of this only and also the selectors can have clear-cut ideas about players whom to play. As there is great number of views there is lot of sponsors
•In India the matches are telecasted neither in TV nor YouTube only some white ball games are being telecasted so people don't have idea about players aswell selectors cannot travel everywhere to see players as one player who satisfied a selector cannot satisfy other due to lack of viewership there is less sponsors

5. SELECTION FOR DOMESTIC
In England players can play domestic without any previous stats all you need to do is make teams know about your skills if they are impressed then they are given a contract
•In India the selection process is so strict that the number play a key role in selection

6.COACHING
•The quality of coaching is better in England because of lot of ex cricketers interest to train young players
•while in India there is very less international standard coaches
7.CONDITIONS AND GROUNDS THEY PLAY
England has best ground facilities for domestic games there is interior nets second ground for warmup games and two net places one for home and away and gyms aswell and conditions they play is so tough that it tests the players facing Anderson in overcast is nightmare for international players itself while the players getting that in domestic itself
•India has no second grounds for warmup games which ashwin also said that everything was closed and number of pitch strips are so less so there is demand to use same pitch again and again so it is not gonna help anyone

8.SALARY
SALARIES ARE QUITE SIMILAR BUT CONTRACT SYSTEM IN ENGLAND GIVES AN ADVANTAGE

9.LIBERTY IN CHOOSING THEIR TEAMS
In England the players irrespective of experience they have privilege to choose the side they need to play
•while in India not every player has that liberty to change teams and even know proper steps to change it
10.DIFFERENT SQUAD FOR DIFFERENT FORMATS
In India mostly same squad plays all three format there will be very less changes
•In England mostly there is different squad for different formats
11.FRIENDLY GAMES AND AVAILABILITY OF CRICKET EVERYTIME
England has 2nd Xi tournaments which allow two teams to play at the same time and u19 u23 tournaments so at the same time there is nearly 4-5 teams can play at the same time and also several other tournaments and also they have several other tournaments
•In India there is no 2ndxi tournament or can arrange friendly game between teams and has several other tournaments like tnpl, spl, etc., but problem here is several states don't have such opportunities

Even after being secondary the thing which makes India an equal side to England is none other but
This creates all the things which is missed by Indian domestic players and nullifies the difference between England domestic and Indian domestic

is change in bowling action affecting starc form and making him ineffective?

Starc who is considered as one of the great left hand pacers of all time was seen struggling in recent  times the main reason for his struggle is his mindset to increase his pace.
In process of increasing  his pace he started to get injured frequently as a result to reduce  his injury concerns he remodeled his Bowling in such a way that his pace started going up and injury concerns reduced but in that process he lost his accuracy and ability to swing the ball.
If you notice you can see that the left hand he has started to stop his hand with in abs which before he used to take close to head and as a result  of shortened arm movement his Bowling arm started to become like a leverage tool which makes him get extra pace but the problem  here is since it is new for him he lost his accuracy and also the ability to swing the ball like before
this is the leverage mechanism which starc is applying. In this mechanism when an effort is put on one end the other end with load will be released with great pace
This is another device which is being used during net practice it is quite similar with starc current release point.
Before he used to jump higher at time of release which made a huge force being exerted on his ankle which leaded to several injuries so now he has reduced the height of jump to reduce force on ankle

PROBABLE IPL 2022 CSK RETENTIONS AND REASONS (old post)

CSK-Chennai Super Kings

Note: MSD AND RAINA AVAILABILITY IS STILL NOT CONFIRMED IF THEY ARE AVAILABLE  THEN THEY WILL BE FIRST TWO RETENTIONS AND JADEJA WOULD BE THIRD AND SALARIES AS FOLLOWS MSD-15CR JADEJA-11CR RAINA-7CR RTM- SAM CURRAN

1. Jadeja- first retention

Reason:

EXPERIENCE- In absence of msd and Raina he will be the most experienced guy as he is playing for both India and ipl for long time and a experienced guy is needed to calm the young players
SKILLS- at present he is the best Indian all rounder and best fielder as well. a player like him is rare to find can bat in middle order as well bowl complete spells and major advantage  is his fitness
•NUMBERS- his numbers speaks for himself and he can fill the shoes of msd as finisher of the side
age factor- being just 32 and in kind of form he is the management can expect  him to play for another 5-6 years and a potential captain option as well

2.SAM CURRAN

ROLE- fast bowling all rounders are very rare to find and his left hand nature is rare to find and his ability to finish the game and the ability to swing the ball both ways with new ball makes him an match winner
•YOUNGUN- being just 23 he is expected to be the next big thing in the world cricket
NUMBERS- coming with a name as test all-rounder he adopted to t20 format and started making noise wherever he is going

PLAYERS WHO MIGHT NOT BE RETAINED
1.FAF- he might retire this year even if he don't he will not play longer so csk will not put a huge purse on him
2.ALI- ali is more a form oriented  player so you cannot expect him to play as a dependable  player
3.DEEPAK CHAHAR- injury concerns are major reason and csk lack of death bowlers and chepauk might make csk leave him
4.THAKUR- his inconsistency with ball might lead csk to not retain him

RTM:
GAIKWAD
Reasons why he will be retained by rtm

1. To save purse
2. He is in contention  to be the opener of indian side
3. He is technically strong

PLAYERS WHO MIGHT BE BOUGHT BACK

1.DEEPAK CHAHAR(WITHIN 5 CR)
His injury concerns make him a risky buy when bought above 5 cr as it will affect the purse so csk cannot pick a proper backup for him
•his ability to swing the ball both way with new ball makes him an dependable bowler in powerplay

2.ALI(WITHIN 5CR)
England players mindset is very unpredictable nobody knows how long he will play and will he remain with the same form if he was retained for a huge amount
