Roles of players:
• Rohit, surya might play the role of aggressors
• kl and kohli will play the role of anchors and carry innings till end and look to finish it comfortably
• pant will be the linker between middle order and finishers and according to situation he needs to do three different roles a anchor if quick wickets go and one is going steady, aggressor if wicket goes quickly and someone like kohli who will carry the innings is still there, and finisher if he comes towards the end
•hardik and jadeja will do the roles of batting all rounder and finishers(hardik is not bowling but we can expect him to bowl atleast two overs)
•thakur will do the role of bowling all rounder and he will be preferred over a third spinner because of his wicket taking ability and venues India going to play.
•varun will play the role of a spinner because so far in ipl in uae he conceded seldom more then 25 runs in his quota and has ability to bowl in both powerplay and death
•bhuvaneshwar and bumrah will do the role of pacers and being experienced they hold the key
•varun and jadeja will do the role of a economical bowlers(whose role is to not to concede runs their role lies on economy column and not on wickets column) thakur will do the role of wicket taker(cannot expect him to be economical wickets column should be seen for him more then economy column) bumrah bhuvi will do the mixed role of economical wicket takers(they take wickets and give away less runs aswell)
Key factors:
•jadeja will be the biggest x factor irrespective of roles he is going to do as he can contribute in all aspects of the game
•surya in middle overs holds the key to release pressure off from kohli and kl who are going to finish if set
•kl and kohli in overs 15-20 is going to be key as it is the time both settled kohli and kl are in beast mode and difficult to handle.
•hardik the bowler because of his intelligence we can expect him to bowl 2 overs and pick atleast a wicket
•rohit in powerplay kl tends to play slow in first 10 balls so rohit should compensate those 10 balls
Advantages:
•form of number of players is our biggest advantage
•our players had played ipl in this venues so they have better understanding on conditions
•India to play in venues where their bowlers found great success as they struggled a bit in sharjah
Disadvantages:
•hardik pandya the bowler is unsure to play so if he don't bowl then the side balance will be affected
•form of players who picked as no4 kishan and surya(who found some good knocks towards the end)
Dhoni the mentor:
•dhoni the mentor will be great for kohli to perform as they are experimenting him at no4 no5 and opening so the mentor dhoni knows how to use kohli so he will speak and clarify things for kohli.
•dhoni will be the calming factor in Indian dressing room whether it is pressure situation or a loss he will ensure that the environment doesn't get spoiled.
Call on chahal:
•exclusion of chahal might be harsh but speaking practical his exclusion makes sense as last year too he had great ipl but from there he was easily conceding runs and now he found his form back but there is no certainity that he will bowl the same way.
•and if we start taking call on ipl then selectors should consider ruturaj and samson over rohit and kohli as they had comperatively had poor ipl. So selectors wants to be a neutral factor without showing any favors.
Batting:8.5/10(small form oriented problems alone is there)
Bowling:8/10(with hardik not bowling India needs to use exactly 5 bowlers so sometimes we cannot expect the 5 to have good day)
