Why India couldn't put a consistent performance when it comes to icc t20is tournaments

1.poor backing policy by selectors for no4 spot:
After 2016 they had 4 years to prepare for next world cup the primary issue they tried to solve is no4. And seeing the persons played as no4 first kl was picked as no4 then he was consistent there then all of a sudden he is opening and scoring huge runs then he is becoming no3 then kohli the experienced no3 is moving to no4 then kl is lossing his form then again kohli is becoming no3. Then they are picking manish as no4 he was batting there then all of sudden he is getting dropped then vijay shankar is coming to scene he was scoring for India a and performed good for India then he was picked in 2019 wc and he fails and all of a sudden he is avoided. Then they are picking iyer as no4 and he is performing consistently then all of a sudden samson is coming into scene iyer is getting pushed to no5 same as manish who got pushed to no6 then iyer is giving best and samson fails and again iyer is being picked then all of a sudden sky and kishan was picked they are performing in four matches then they are dropping iyer out of the world cup squad. So they are not even allowing the players to get set and not giving a surity that they will be picked.

2.Giving more importance to ipl then international:
babar azam who made his debut after 2016 wc has played more then 60 matches while virat kohli who made his debut in 2010 played just 30 games more then him. The reason is the amount of importance given to ipl over international south africa and new zealand wanted to play a t20 series against India to prepare for t20 world cup but they denied everything just to play the second half of ipl. As a result players got tired and couldn't get focused or give their 100% for world cup. And the over importance given to ipl in terms of selections a player who performs in a ipl season replaces a player who was consistent in internationals.

3.failing to create backup for player:
When the players are performing consistently they are not looking to have a backup for such a player so that incase if he is injured or out of form they are running out of form. For example: Hardik has injury concerns and lost form but they don't have a backup for him.

4.failing to give importance for experience:
When they are finding a player and if he is performing for 10 matches and an experienced player fails for 10 matches they are just looking to avoid that experienced players for example: Dhawan,Ashwin,Chahal,dk,manish and there is no end to this list

5.taking too much shortcuts on selections:
They are not looking for future they are just looking for short time options and they are not also backing that short option dube scores 5 sixes in an over gets picked in ipl then he is playing for India then he is getting dropped within short time. Even now they are looking to pick opener v iyer as replacement of a genuine finishing all rounder hardik pandya. In last 5 years they hasn't produced a single long term option except kl and they got iyer but they are failing to back him.

6.Poor scheduling:
bcci scheduling is such that they are playing only tests for amost 6 months with world cup coming up they didn't play as a complete unit and they are playing ipl and tired players are getting united only in warmup games then they are going into world cups. And even in wtc final they had an option of having a warmup game with ireland or county teams they just ignored it leading to failing to find a ideal 11.

7.Looking for scape goat instead of solutions:
They failed in 2019 wc semis and they failed as unit but they just blamed batting coach and removed him and now they are looking to remove kohli as odi captain as the team failed to perform in t20 wc. They are not ready to address the actual problem in the side and they are looking to defend themselves by pointing out at a person.

8.appointment in coaching staffs:
Their appointment of coaching staffs without worrying about the style of approach by coaches and players. The current batting coach loves to see aggressive brand of batting so he is encouraging but unfortunately it is covering our players natural style here the mistake is not on coach or player but the board failing to understand the coach and player for example  kumble and Indian team kumble style of approach didn't suit the side and as captain of side kohli openly said it out.

9.Some unfortunate happenings:
First the main man in plan Msd retired for everyone surprise which was added pressure then kohli announced that he will be stepping down from captaincy which further created pressure as players wanted to get him a wc. And several injuries hardik, bhuvi,Washington, rohit got injured and some players lost their forms like sky, kishan,kl,shami.

10.poor strategies in terms of team selections:

The best batsman in the side became the floater of the side was the biggest affecting factor both for kohli form and side balance. Kohli gave his no3 spot to almost every single youngster dube samson iyer kishan kl sky. The players gets picked for a number slot in batting but he never gets a chance to perform at numbers for example iyer and manish.

11.failing to evolve according to the game:

Now slowish bowlers are becoming difficult to play but India  failed to create such slowish bowlers the numbers of spinners they have is very less now. And bowlers with a little bit of ability to hit sixes is also missing. And also a genuine t20 bowler that is a bowler who has a seam up cutter cross seam and several types of slower balls they are at the moment failed to have one or back one they have thakur but he is just getting chances.

12.failing to stick with plans:
They have rarely sticked with their plans if you take some of the plans like kl was keeping for almost a year then pant performs in a test series then he is taking the keeper gloves from kl. Bumrah started as a death over specialist now they are using him as new ball bowler. Dhawan was opening and before 6 months of world cup they are completely dropping him from the side. Kohli was doing the anchor role then all of a sudden he is playing the role of aggressor then again he is being pushed to play anchor role.
